Woo hoo !!! This afternoon my mom took the package from the Mr. Postman. And gave it to me after I came back home from having lunch with Yeevon and Canice (will post that later :P ). Then I immediately take a picture of the package.

My Package Has Arrive

I thought it would never arrive. Took them so long. I’ve been waited for so long for this to arrive. They wrapped up with those plastic with those air bubbles in it (I forgotten what does it call  ). Even with those wrappers on, what I get is not in perfect condition. Anyway, most important is that the CD can be able to read. SO what’s inside?

What Is Inside?

Ubuntu 7.10 aka Gutsy Gibbon

I’ve ordered 2 CDs (1 for me and 1 for someone who is interested of having it). They also gave me Ubuntu’s stickers. I guess I’ll have to use Linux if I’m a human being. Ok, first of all, I’m not a good reviewer. And actually I just use the Live CD startup, which means demo. Here are some of the cool features they have.

Move Windows Effect

Moving window effect. When you’re dragging the window, it has some effect like you’re holding a paper and move around :P . When you close the window, it will not just close like any Windows OS (except Windows Vista). It will fade away to the bottom.

Windows + Tab Effect

My Diary On Ubuntu

This is actually a “Windows Key + Tab” effect. Windows Vista has this function too but Windows Vista is like a file-sorting-like version. But this is like the Mac OS X Leopard. It shows all the windows or applications you have open and you can choose which you want to see or use. It looks better if you find the windows you need than looking at your taskbar and see your application’s name in word forms :P .

List Of Games

Here are the list of games are inside Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon. The games that I really like inside was the Sudoku, Chess, Blackjack and Mahjongg.

Games On Desktop

I love playing Sudoku. It’s my favourite that I play it almost everyday (except Sunday because TheStar Newspaper don’t have :( ) There are few other games that I like too. I really wanted to transfer some of the games from there to my Windows XP. Too bad we can’t or should I say, I don’t know how  .

Pidgin Messenger

I was using their free Pidgin Instant Messenger. This is actually a multi-protocol instant messaging client, which means you can use AIM, MSN, Yahoo and so on to chat. There are many free software builded inside like Firefox web browser, GIMP image editing tool, OpenOffice word processing tools and many more other useful tools.

I wanted to edit those image using GIMP, but turns out that I’m still new to the software. I will try it out next time. I don’t know whether I should or should not install. Hmm, hard decision. Anyway, that’s all for now, peace out.
