By posting this article, it will be my 100^th post . Thank you for dropping by my diary. I really do not know what to write on this post. I’ve been posting more about my dad’s condition than writing some interesting articles. I’ll post more interesting articles after my dad could come back home . In this 100^th post, I’ll just write a little history of myself in internet world and blogging atmosphere. But first:

How did you get your name?

I guess some may have read this article before. I’ve posted it here last month. Let me briefly explain how did I get my name.

 

Vor

The Vor actually came from the word Caltex Vortex. I just like the word Vortex. Sound’s cool to me. So I decided to change a little so that my name will not look like a petrol name.

Track

Since I love music so much and suddenly a word came out from my mind which was Soundtrack. Thought of many names but still, Vortrack sounds much better than Vorsic (music) .

How long have you been using this name?

I’ve been using this name since 2002 if I’m not mistaken. Started using this name when I was still playing Ragnarok Online. Which means, this name followed me till now . I just love this name so much. Most of my online friends call me Vortrack but others usually call me Kelvin.

How did you get involved in Internet world?

Back in year 2003, I’ve created my own personal website from Geocities. I just love playing with HTML codes and then started to get a little more advance (not so advance) somewhere in year 2004, I’ve made a music station where everyone gets to listen music played from Winamp player hosted on my computer.

Then in year 2005, a group of my friends from my secondary school were talking about blogs they have created and I started to get interested. I felt left out so I decided to create my own blog and trying to mix my blog with some of my own music station.

How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging for 3 years already since 2005. It’s really addictive when you started blogging. In this 3 year, I’ve been searching for the best blog service provider and I finally have what in my mind. In this 3 years I’ve been blogging about my life and now started to get a little more about politics and what is going on around in Malaysia.

How many blogs have you blogged?

I’ve blogged 4 blogs including this one. Here are the list of the blogs.

• Previously known as MSN Spaces. It can be considered as my first blog. I’ve been active in writing blog here till I found out that this blog has lack of freedom to add “plugins” and also slow in terms of posting an article and also viewing the blog. I’ve deleted all the post inside long time ago and I can’t figure out why I did it last time.

• I find this blog service is more user friendly than the other blog service provider. It has all the tools and nice user interface. I’ve deleted my older post as well and just like the above, I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because my hand too itchy?

• My first ever blog with my own domain name. It was powered by Wordpress. It was also one of my active blog until I have problems with the sub-domain. Stopped for more than half a year, I continue again without using the sub-domain. And then discontinue this blog due to the lack of control on CHMOD permission. They just don’t let us change the permissions. And now the domain has been expired.

• I’ve found a better host and decided to change the domain name a little shorter. And I hope I will not have anymore problems to encounter. I’m beginning to be more serious in blogging world and making more blogger friends.

Why most of your websites and blogs were dark?

Most of my older websites and blogs were dark because I just love dark. No explanation I guess. Maybe the dark colour looks cooler and more stylish. But after some time thinking, I guess lighter colour will be better as it looks more “welcoming” if you’ve visited.
