Last Thursday I’ve celebrated my very early birthday at Poolbar and Grill at One World Hotel together with Yeevon, Canice and Jun. We had some wonderful time there and only 4 of us were the diners there.

This place was awesome. We ate by the pool side and all the food were just for us to eat. We really do enjoy because we don’t need to stand in a Q or wait for the food. The food were there for us  .

Foooooooood !!! BBQ and Cooked Food

Oh and most importantly, we get to enjoy FREE FLOW BEER !!! Some of us were really drunk that time but it was a happy day. Our emotions were just like the picture below. The Drunk Canice, Jun, Yeevon and Kelvin

I told Yeevon that she doesn’t need to buy me a cake. She then bought me 3 slices of cake from the hotel.

It was windy that night and it was hard to light up the candle. But I do manage to blow the candle  . I would really like to make 3 wishes if I could. Am I greedy? :P .

Our 17th Month Anniversary at The Apartment

Jun 13, 2008 Author: Vortrack | Filed under: Anniversary, Food & Drink

I wasn’t in the mood writing maybe due to Euro 2008 football season or maybe I am just L-A-Z-Y :P . Anyway, last week we celebrated our 17th month anniversary at The Apartment, The Curve. Before that, we both exchanged our present in the car. This is actually a short celebration so, less pictures and less words :P .

Our D.I.Y. Cards For 17th Month Anniversary

It’s our D.I.Y. cards made for this special day. That was our idea and both of us try to make a card for each other. I guess it was special and of course the more complicated and nice it is, the more she/he loves you.

Our Red Wine - Jackaroo

Jackaroo Red Wine

We had ourself a bottle of Jackaroo red wine. Can’t really remember the detail about this red wine, but it surely taste good. It was introduced by the waiter and it was not as expensive as others which were more than RM100++.

Baked Chocolate Pudding from The Apartment

Last but not least, our dessert. This baked chocolate pudding served in hot and cold. The pudding was hot served with ice cream by the side. Eating both together, it was just tasty, very creamy and “chocolatie” :D .

And that’s how we celebrated our this month’s anniversary. A short one but a nice one as well. One day I will go out with her to watch a match with her since she loves watching football. Anyway, that’s all for now, peace out.

Long Bar @ One World Hotel

Jun 5, 2008 Author: Vortrack | Filed under: Food & Drink

Few weeks back, I’ve got a chance to try out the new bar name Long Bar, which located at One World Hotel. It has been opened for a month already. On that day we went, only 2 or 3 tables including us.

Silent Environment at Long Bar, One World Hotel

Though it may be a little quiet, but I really love the environment there. Maybe it was due to this bar just opened not long ago, and they said they have not really give out the fliers yet.

They served food as well. Will try them next time. Maybe our anniversary :P .

Our Cocktails - Long Island Tea and AK-47

And of course, we will not leave out what we had there. Yeevon got herself a Long Island Tea and I got myself an AK-47. These were the cocktails which the waiter recommended to us. We asked for some strong cocktails.

Prepared for Euro 2008 - Long Bar, One World Hotel

Euro 2008 Corner - Hall of Fame

Sponsored by Carlsberg - Long Bar, One World Hotel

They have already prepared for the coming Euro Cup 2008. I guess this place will attract alot of football fans as this place has a good environment to hang out.

I didn’t really took photos and didn’t really try their food. I will try them on our next visit. Will write more reviews about this bar. Peace out.

My Deck Collections

Jun 1, 2008 Author: Vortrack | Filed under: Review

I’ve started collecting decks recently. Not those ordinary decks, which came free from buying beers or what so ever, these are some nice custom decks made by a few deck manufacturers. These decks were from Ellusionist and Theory11.

My Collection of Decks from Ellusionist and Theory11

From Left

Top: Bicycle Guardians (Theory11), Bicycle Shadow Masters (Ellusionist), Bicycle Black Ghost - Second Edition (Ellusionist), Bicycle Black Tiger (Ellusionist), Bicycle Centurions (Theory11)

Center: Bicycle Vintage 1800 Series - Blue (Ellusionist), Bicycle Masters Edition - Blue (Ellusionist), Bicycle Ghost (Ellusionist), Bicycle Masters Edition - Red (Ellusionist), Bicycle Vintage 1800 Series - Red (Ellusionist)

Bottom: Bicycle Rider Back - Blue (USPCC), Tally-Ho Black Viper Circle Back (Ellusionist), David Blaine - SplitSpades: Lion - Black (Theory11), Tally-Ho Black Viper Fan Back (Ellusionist), Bicycle Rider Back - Red (USPCC)

My Collection of Decks from Ellusionist and Theory11- Back

Most of the decks were came from my cousin because he’s going to US soon. So he gave me some of his collections to me and I start addicted to them. And another reason was that one of my “client” who was also a magician, she posted a video of her deck collections on her YouTube channel and I start interested on the decks. I’m not a magician but I do know a few tricks.

Black Cards from Ellusionist

These are the coolest decks I’ve ever had because they are black. Not just the box were black in colour, the cards itself are black.

Bicycle Black Ghost

Here’s the example of black cards. The one I’m showing was the latest deck from Ellusionist, Bicycle Black Ghost - Second Edition. Why do I have to say it’s the second edition? Because the first edition were never sold and it’s only given away as a gift. The first edition was sold on Ebay at the price of USD450 for a deck.

Bicycle Vintage 1800 Series and Bicycle Rider Back

Comparing the Old and the New

They look old but actually they are not. They designed it that way. The designer for this deck were so great that everytime when I hold the deck, I thought it was a very old deck. Look how old they are. It looks like it was dug out from an ancient time.

Decks from Theory11 - Bicycle Guardians, David Blaine - Split Spades: Lion, Bicycle Centurions

These decks are from Theory11. Thought their box was black, but their cards were not. For the David Blaine - Split Spades: Lion, I really love it. It has alot of mysteries going on inside this deck of cards.

If you see the upside down Ace of Spades, you can see it’s actually a small letter D and B (db). That was his name, David Blaine.

SplitSpades - Stutzman

As you can see the Ace of Spades, the bottom which says SplitSpades and Stutzman, the designer of the deck.Superstitious - Blaine

And when you turn it upside down, you will see the word Blaine and the word Superstitious. Isn’t it cool? The designer were just impressive. I really like this deck alot for their creativity.

David Blaine - King of Spades

Illusion Joker from SplitSpades

Can you see David Blaine?

Bicycle Masters Edition and Bicycle Ghost from Ellusionist

The blue and the red Bicycle Masters Edition were the better quality of the Bicycle Rider Back. They have also changed the Ace of Spades to the eagle version. It was a very nice deck.

And last but not least, it’s also one of my first deck, my favourite deck, the scariest deck I’ve ever own, the Bicycle Ghost.

Bicycle Ghost Cards - Ace of Spades from Ellusionist

Everything about this deck is black, white and blood red. They are really cool and spooky, as you can see from the name itself, Ghost.

Each of the deck cost from RM10 to RM40. You can’t buy directly from the official website of Ellusionist due to our Malaysian Customs were really strict but it has no problem on Theory11.

So, how do I get some of these decks from Malaysia? I got them from either Magic Garage or The Magic Street. I would highly recommend this 2 sites if you want to purchase decks or other magician tools, gimmicks and videos.

Magic Garage actually has a public forum to discuss anything about magics, reviews of all the products and friendly people inside. They are really nice and people there as I’ve knew a few friends from there already.

The Magic Street doesn’t have any forum but their stuff there were a little cheaper.

That’s all for now. I’ve been inactive due to some reasons. One of the reason is because I hardly went out. But don’t worry, I’ll post interesting articles whenever I could. Thanks for reading my article, peace out.
