Melaka Trip (Part 3)

Dec 22, 2007 Author: Vortrack | Filed Under: Event, Food & Drink, Personal, Travelling | Viewed: 534

Continue from part 2, went back to our hotel and have a quick rest. Small room but then, just 1 night, so I guess it’s alright.

Melaka Trip - Hotel Room

Melaka Trip - Hotel Room’s Toilet

Nice View From Our Hotel Room

Taken From Hotel Room

Nice view outside the balcony. Picture above was the Clubhouse.

Forgotten to take pictures of their mini fridge, inside there are few cans of drinks. They are costly, RM5.50 per can I think :P . After that, we went to Cowboy Town, few minutes drive from our hotel.

Melaka Trip - Cowboy Town

There are some performace going on outside. Cowboys and Cowgirls were dancing, entertaining people like us. But then, I saw something strange.

Cowgirls Talking and Not Dancing

They were chit-chatting non-stop until the end. They dance a while, talk a while, then dance and talk all the way.

At first we thought of going inside the Cowboy Town to eat. Oh and by the way, the town is not free, we have to pay to get in  . The chinese restaurant called Huang Di ONLY served set dinner like those wedding dinner type, dish by dish, that day. At first we sat down and looked at the menu. The cheapest set was RM188. This was how our conversation goes like.

  • Mom: Hello, you have the “a la carte” menu? Why all the menu here sell set only?

  • Waitress: Sorry, but we only have set dinner today.

  • Mom: We 3 person only wo, how to eat 8 dishes.

  • Waitress: Don’t worry, we only give small portion.

  • Mom, Dad, Me: …

RM188 so expensive already and they are giving us small portion? Crazy  . So in the end, we left the restaurant and went to Tampin for dinner. 4km drive from A’ Famosa. We had our nice dinner for only less than RM50. So cheap yet can eat till full :P . Sorry, no pictures :D .

Then we went back inside Cowboy Town again. Not many people when I first went in. Most people were at the performance area.

When I first entered the performance area, there were photo taking session with the tiger. I walked pass the tiger and then a guy asked me to take picture with the tiger. First question I asked, is it free? The photographer says yes. Then I say can I use my own camera? He says no. I already knew they will charge me so I just took for fun.

The Carnival, The Crowd

Everyone were here watching The Carnival and Red Indian Show. We were late to watch the Red Indian Show because we’re enjoying our dinner :P .

Fireworks at The Carnival

Fireworks at The Carnival 2

Fireworks were fired after The Carnival. We were lucky to see fireworks on that day as it only falls on Sunday. At first we planned to come Melaka on Monday and back on Tuesday. If we go on Monday, I don’t think they will play fireworks.

Me with Tiger

After the show, we went out to see if my picture were there. Not thinking of buying it, I just take a look from far. Another guy (seller) came and took down my picture and gave it to me. I said I don’t want. But my mom bought it for me  . Cost RM17  .

After the show, I drove my parents back to the hotel and went back to Cowboy Town again to watch football match at the bar. Forgotten the name of the bar. The bar name was Beer Garden/Coyote Disco Pub. Both linked together I think.

My Drinks and My Snacks - Watching Football

Went there to watch football and some sexy ladies. Didn’t managed to take pictures with of them. They were “panas” hot. I felt like going there again  .

Oops  … Anyway, went there to watch football match (Liverpool vs. Manchester United and Arsenal vs. Chelsea). They were big matches but then that place I went to, only a few people watched. Ordered a bottle of Heineken and a plate of chips to make me sit till the end of the 2 matches. I ordered Heineken because the can drinks there cost RM10  . At least Heineken were same price with Laundry Bar at The Curve.

Met alot of football fans there but all support different teams. Met the bartender who supports Arsenal, China girl and a security guard who support Chelsea, and a family who support different teams  . All of them are friendly especially the China girl and she is pretty :P .

Starbucks Marathon - Mission Accomplished

Starbucks Coffee Shop at One Utama Old Wing

Actually this marathon is not an official event organized by Starbucks unless you want it to be :P . I have been to Starbucks very often just to get the Starbucks 2008 Planner with Yeevon. To get this planner, you need to collect 18 stickers. 17 from beverages and 1 from pastry.

Both of us have been drinking overpriced beverages since this event started, meaning 6th of November. And guess what, we both have ourself a planner each. And that’s not all, we are going to get our 4th Starbucks 2008 Planner soon !!!

Starbucks 2008 Planner - Paper Bag

Starbucks 2008 Planner - Sticker Card, Paper Bag, Planner

A bit of history on how we get both of them.

The first sticker card we got was on 9th of November, 2007 at Times Square’s Starbucks. We got the first Starbucks planner on the 26th of November, 2007. We got it in 18 days.

The second sticker card we got was on 26th of November, 2007 at Damansara Uptown’s Starbucks. We got the second planner on the 4th of December, 2007. We got it in 8 days !!!

Starbucks 2008 Planner - Our Planner

Starbucks 2008 Planner - Double

All these photos were taken back from my old blog.

And if I am not mistaken, this is the first time Starbucks came out with this planner. Other countries already have it long time ago like in Phillipine, Thailand and some others. I think I will rest a while after getting so much coffee and tea in my stomach :P .

So, should we continue? I do not know my stomach can handle another gallon of coffee and tea or not 8O . After getting our 4th planner, we MIGHT go for the 5th  .

Our Lunch@Bamboo Steak Corner

Continue from part 1, lunch was included in the entrance fee. We have our lunch at Bamboo Steak Corner. We can choose either Fish and Chip or Chicken Chop for our lunch. All I can say is, food and drinks there are all over priced. A bottle of mineral water and can drinks cost RM2.50  .

Fish and Chip

Me and my mom choose to eat Fish and Chip while my dad choose to eat Chicken Chop. Many people were there because it’s holiday season. I will not post photos of all the animals there as many of you know what they have in safari or zoo  .

Wild Wild West Show

After our lunch we went for a show. Everyday there are shows at different time. We managed to catch this show first call Wild Wild West Show. This show is full of action, sound effect and stunts.

Bang Bang Boom !!!

The show is nice. Felt like this 30 minutes isn’t enough and wanted to watch again. After this show we continue another show call Multi Animal Show.

Bear Skateboarding

We missed the introduction part because we lost our way. So I will just post a little.

Dancing Chimp

Mom with the Chimp

After this show, we go for Bird Show. From this show, my camera’s battery started getting low. So pictures taken getting lesser and lesser but still manage to survive.

Bird Show

Flamingo

Eagle

Some pictures are blurry as they flew around. My camera can’t take moving objects. The MC kept warning us to duck down our head if the eagle flew near to our head. But then, all these animals are well trained. So I guess no problem.

Meeting the Elephant

The last show was The Elephant Show. I don’t know this will disgust you readers, before the show start the center already have elephant dungs, a big pile of shit.

Elephant’s Dung

It really happen in front of us, everyone was laughing. They also did it DURING the show as well. Ok, now for The Elephant Show.

Elephant Intro

The show was very good, quite entertaining. They were really well trained on how to play basketball and football. I really enjoy that day :D . And the funny part was when someone volunteered for a “body massage” .

Elephant’s “Body Massage”

The elephant was “massaging” his “body” and you know where it is from the picture shown :D .

After the show we go for a ride to see some wild animals. The ride was bumpy but it’s nice.

Genting Trip

Dec 20, 2007 Author: Vortrack | Filed Under: Celebration, Food & Drink, Personal, Travelling | Viewed: 1,147

Went there for a day trip with Yeevon and together with my family 2 days after Melaka trip. The last time I went to Genting Highland was on my birthday eve with her having good time there. Yesterday was another happy moment :D .

Genting Trip - Genting Skyway

Went up there with cable car and not many people were there yesterday. Compared it on weekends, the queue should be like this.

Birthday Eve - Long Queue

This picture was taken last time during the weekend. Took many pictures with her inside the cable car but not going to show :P .

On The Way To The Top

Anyway, once reached we headed straight to Genting Highland hotel and manage to take photos of their Christmas decoration.

Genting Highland Hotel - Christmas Decoration

I might be making mistakes as I’m not really sure where are all the Christmas decoration from but it is for sure at Genting  .

Genting Trip - Cookie House

We felt like eating the whole house up :P . This was located near Cloud 9 bar. There are some not-very-nice-packaging cooking and candies selling quite expensive.

Genting First World Christmas Decoration - Hanging Decoration

Genting Christmas Decoration

On the way to Genting First World, saw this hanging down decoration. Once we’ve reached First World, there were so many people and the place was packed. Took this inside-glass Christmas decoration, a snowman.

The Center Stage of First World

No performance at that time. This center stage is call Times Square. So we decided to walk around. After a while, me and her decided to walk alone as my parents wanted to go inside the casino.

Welcome to Starbucks

Iced Latte with 2 shots Espresso

The first place we went to was Starbucks to have our coffee break. We ordered just a cup of Iced Latte with 2 shots of Espresso. We got 2 stickers for this (1 for Iced Latte, 1 for Espresso shots). Actually, we already have 3 Starbucks 2008 Planners in our hand and this was our 4th sticker card collection. We might be giving those extras away.

Our Reaction After Having Coffee

We took quite alot of pictures of ourself and together. Well, too many to post, so I decided not to post  .

Lunch@McDonalds

After walking around, shopping around and joking around we went to McDonalds to have our lunch. Quite expensive compared to normal outlets. My parents were still inside the casino. Maybe they are winning big so leave us to eat ourself.

Wishing Tree

After lunch we then continue our walk. We saw this tree hangs with many star-shaped-liked paper with wishes listed down by people. People who wants to make their wish can write down their wishes and hang it to the tree by climbing up to the top. Went somewhere near the arcade area, we went to the “purikura” station and take a few photos using my camera, not from the machine :P .

Our Second Starbucks Stop

Christmas Blend coffee

We then went to other places to walk. Kinda bored at First World. So we walked around to the Genting Highland hotel. And then, we went to Starbucks again to have our second coffee break  . This time at Genting Highland hotel. And this time we drink a hot Christmas Blend coffee.

Foggy Outside the Hotel

Enjoying a cup of hot coffee outside is like you’re in heaven :D . Just for fun, I was trying out my photo skills  . Not really without a DSLR camera but with compact camera is just good enough.

Trying Photo Taking Skills

Outside Genting Hignland Hotel Christmas Decoration

This was taken outside the Genting Highland Hotel. Looks nice, we’re freezing at that time, so we decided to walk back in after taking.

Nothing much after that, we’re waiting for my parents. At first I thought they were winning big that’s why staying inside the casino for so long. But actually they went inside and just looking at people gambling. They did not use a single cent to play :???: .

Sunset View

On our way back, we took this sunset view. It looks beautiful and we managed to see sunset inside cable car.

Accident While Going Back

We then went to Ulu Yam to have our dinner. After dinner we saw an accident happen  . We saw a Proton Gen-2 and a van. Another car was burning so we didn’t know what car was that. Hope no one badly injured :( .

Melaka Trip (Part 1)

Dec 18, 2007 Author: Vortrack | Filed Under: Personal, Travelling | Viewed: 881

It’s been a while since me and my parents go for holiday. So I’m actually very happy :D (acting like a small boy).

My camera’s battery kills my day. Can’t really take alot of pictures but I did take those interesting photos that I can share.

Woke up 8.30am in the morning with blurry, tiring face. 9am we went to have our “dim sum” breakfast somewhere at old Parkson, Atria (if any of you heard that name before, if not nvm). I was still blur, so no pictures  .

After our breakfast we headed straight to A’Famosa, Melaka.

Melaka Trip - Our Journey

I get to relax that day because my dad is familiar with Melaka area. I’m awake after drinking tea while having my breakfast.

After few hours we saw this sign.

Melaka Trip - Sign of Happiness

Which means we are getting closer to our destination. Took us about 2 hours to reach I think. I’m happy that I see the main entrance. Which means, for 2 hours I’ve been sitting, my a$$ pain la, I need to stand.

Melaka Trip - We’re Here !!

The entrance looks historical and old isn’t it? :P . It was almost 12pm when we reach there.

Melaka Trip - Our Hotel

We then quickly register our name first. Check-In time is 4pm. I problem is that, we can’t really stay 1 day (24 hours). Check-In time is 4pm and Check-Out time is 12pm. So the total hours would be 20 hours. We can only stay 20 hours per day.

Melaka Trip - Counter

But ofcourse we won’t be staying inside the room for so long, we will usually be going out to find good food, good entertainment place, and good view (eg. girls).

Since there were 4 hours gap, we went to A’ Famosa’s Animal World Safari to enjoy.

Melaka Trip - Safari

Beside the Safari is Water World. It’s not my parents type, so we only went for Safari. It was Sunday, and many people turned up that day.

Melaka Trip - Ticket Counter

The ticket counter located inside a shop actually. Inside the shop were selling merchandise, snacks, and many more.

Melaka Trip - The Crowd

The counter was crowded. Many people are lining up to buy the entrance ticket to Water World and Safari. While my dad was buying tickets, I followed my mom outside the shop. Saw this pretty lady.

Melaka Trip - Pretty Lady

We were not supposed to take picture of her using our own camera, it’s not allowed. But I took it anyway :P . This elephant pretty ma? :D

Melaka Trip - My Wrist Band

Finally my dad managed to buy the entrance ticket.
